Donald Trump's presidential inauguration will take place Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C. Traditionally, popular musicians take part in it; however, a lot of musicians have turned down an invitation to perform at this event. Below, you can find the list of those who refused performing at the inauguration of the US new leader.

Elton John

Despite a member of Trump's transition team confidently announcing that John would be performing at the inauguration, John's reps were quick to deny the claim with a curt statement: "Incorrect. He will not be performing."

Céline Dion

The famous Canadian singer strongly refused to perform at the Trump's inauguration, just like Elton John.

Garth Brooks

Like other musicians, country superstar Brooks declined the invitation to participate in the U.S. new leader's inauguration.

Moby

The event planners weren't able to convince the famous electronic music DJ to come to such an important event for America. Moby made a very specific demand. “I guess I'd DJ at an inaugural ball if as payment #trump released his tax returns,” Moby wrote on Instagram.

Andrea Bocelli

The classical singer was one of the first names to emerge as an inauguration performer. The billionaire is his big fan. However, Bocelli's team officially announced he was pulling out of the festivities, reportedly fearing backlash from Trump's critics and political opponents. But there is an information that Bocelli made the original offer to sing and was rejected by Trump.

David Foster

The Canadian award-winning musician and producer, who worked with Stevie Wonder and Barbra Streisand, politely declined the invitation to participate at the inauguration.

Rebecca Ferguson

Though the British singer had originally said she'd agree to perform at Trump's inauguration only if she could perform Billie Holiday's famous protest song "Strange Fruit" that is a haunting protest against the lynching of African-Americans. Later, the singer announced her refusal.
