At the end of 2010, the launch vehicle Proton-M with three satellites Glonass-M crashed almost immediately after the launch, drowning in the Pacific Ocean. The fault of the $190 million devices fall was a contingency, but what exactly is still unknown.

The second launch of the same Proton-M, which took place on July 2, 2013, also failed. Together with the satellites Glonass-M, the rocket deviated from the course immediately after the launch. At the seventeenth second of its flight, it fell with a subsequent explosion near the launch site, forming a funnel about 200 m in size. The reason is the incorrect installation of angular velocity sensors when assembling the rocket.

In May 2014 the Express AM4R satellite could not reach the target orbit. The cause of the accident were malfunctions in the operation of the third stage of the Proton-M booster rocket, which arose because of the destruction of the mounting of the turbocharger bearing in the steering motor.

In June 2014, the first test launch of a light carrier rocket Angara-1.2PP was to take place for the first time from the cosmodrome in Plesetsk. But the launch was canceled by the automatics responsible for monitoring the state of the rocket. As a result, it was sent to space after 2 weeks.

A year later, the notorious Proton-M booster with the Breeze-M upper stage and the MexSat-1 Mexican satellite was launched from Baikonur. At the 498th second after the launch, just a minute before the separation of the space head from the launch vehicle, a command was given to turn off the engine in emergency order. This happened over the Trans-Baikal Territory, at an altitude of 161 km. The successful launch of the launch vehicle took place only at the end of summer.
