In the fourth quarter of 2024, corporate profits in the United States experienced a 5.9% increase, reaching $3.312 trillion. This marks a recovery from a 0.4% decline in the third quarter. Undistributed profits surged by 15.1%, following a period of stagnation, while net dividends edged up by 0.5%, rebounding from a 0.7% decrease. Additionally, net cash flow, adjusted for inventory valuation, accelerated to 5.8% from a prior 0.4%. When compared to the same period in the previous year, corporate profits showed an increase of 6.8%.
