FX.co ★ China warns of dire consequences of US anti-Russian sanctions

China has been highly critical of Western sanctions imposed on Russia. Thus, China’s Global Times called unprecedented sanctions against Russia a "reckless and ill-considered political adventure" that the whole world will have to pay for. Unfortunately, the sanctions aimed to hit Russian officials, state companies, and elites will also deliver a hard blow to the global economy as a whole. The author of the article points out already high inflation in many countries worldwide. Some other factors, such as the pandemic, have also contributed to soaring consumer prices. However, analysts at the Global Times stress that the US accusations against other countries regarding inflation are nothing but a failed attempt to shift the blame on others and a malicious conspiracy intended to hide the failures of the US administration. According to the Global Times, Washington simply wants to divert attention from its failed battle against the coronavirus as well as the negative implication of the sanction for its own economy.
