Elon Musk is not the one who gives up easily. When Twitter refused his bid to buy the whole company, Elon Musk found a way to bypass the restriction. He allegedly invited other investors to team up with him on a bid for Twitter. According to sources close to the matter, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was considering a partnership with private-equity firm Silver Lake Partners. Musk was planning to present Twitter with an entirely new offer, perhaps raising the current bid. In case of a refusal, his partner investors were expected to step in. Earlier, Twitter’s board of directors adopted a limited duration shareholder rights plan, which deters anyone from having more than a 15% stake in the company. Such a move came after the Tesla boss offered to acquire the social media company. Elon Musk’s intention to buy the media titan caused a strong reaction among Twitter workers. Some experts believe that the entrepreneur will challenge the “monopoly of speech” after purchasing Twitter.
