FX.co ★ Pfizer to make $15 billion from Covid-19 vaccine sales

According to Reuters, US pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc is expected to generate $15 billion this year from sales of the Covid-19 vaccine developed in cooperation with its German partner BioNTech. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the revenue from vaccine sales came in at $154 million, while consensus estimates provided by Mizuho financial group suggested that it would amount to $462 million. In its report published on February 9, Pfizer projects its overall revenue to be between $59.4 billion and $61.4 billion this year. The company has also raised its yearly adjusted profit forecast to $3.10–$3.20 per share. Previously, Pfizer expected to earn $3.00–$3.10 per share.
