Boeing Union Talks Collapse; No Future Negotiation Dates Set

Boeing's union has announced that discussions with the aerospace company have ended without reaching an agreement. Currently, no future meetings are scheduled.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) posted on X that there has been no advancement on the pension issue. Boeing is steadfast in its decision not to unfreeze the defined benefit plan. Additionally, the company has declined to engage substantively on other key concerns for the membership, including higher pay, quicker wage progression, and more paid time off.

The union indicated it remains open to either direct or mediated talks with the company.

Approximately 33,000 Boeing machinists union members continue their strike, which started on September 13, in pursuit of better pay and benefits.
