Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG), a leading entity in precision measurement and sensing technologies, revealed on Monday its acquisition of Nokra Optische Prueftechnik & Automation GmbH (Nokra), a privately-owned German manufacturer of high-precision measuring and testing equipment for the manufacturing sector. The financial details of the transaction were not made public.
Nokra specializes in laser-based measurement gauge systems designed to accurately assess the thickness, flatness, contour, width, or 3D profile of various metals. These systems can be applied in both inline and offline production processes, depending on specific application requirements.
According to Vishay, the integration of Nokra’s advanced laser-based measurement systems will enhance its current portfolio, which includes KELK measurement and inspection solutions tailored for steel and aluminum rolling mills, as well as broader applications within the metal processing industry.
