Nissan Group Q3 U.S. Sales Down 2.2%

Nissan Group disclosed that its total sales in the U.S. for the third quarter amounted to 212,068 units, reflecting a 2.2% decline compared to the previous year.

Car sales for the third quarter reached 79,653 units, marking a 7.3% increase from last year. However, total truck sales for the quarter fell by 7.2% year-over-year to 132,415 units.

Remarkably, the Nissan Z sports car saw a sales surge of 109.3% year-over-year for the quarter. The Nissan Versa sedan also experienced significant growth, with sales rising by 68.1% year-over-year. Likewise, the Nissan Pathfinder SUV enjoyed a notable year-over-year sales increase of 41.4% for the quarter.

The Nissan Ariya electric crossover reported a 23.3% year-over-year sales growth for the quarter. Additionally, the Nissan Frontier pickup saw a 21.6% year-over-year increase in sales. The Nissan Sentra sedan's sales were up 9.8% year-over-year for the quarter.
