China returns as second top Bitcoin mining hub

At every National Congress of the Communist Party, the Chinese government reports complete unity between the Party and the people in the country. However, data on bitcoin mining, which is officially banned in China, contradicts this information.

It was expected that after a ban on mining by the authorities, millions of Chinese miners should stop making money this way. According to official news reports, they did. Reportedly, the officials freed miners from oppression and drudgery, and they were extremely happy about it. The bans on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Winnie the Pooh cartoons also drew public approval and support. However, according to statistics, China is once again the world's second player in bitcoin mining.

Bitcoin miners are not giving up and continue to produce cryptocurrency in China despite Beijing’s ban. The move was supposed to put a damper on the prospects of the crypto industry in the country. The authorities attributed such a decision to concern for the welfare of the population, calling cryptocurrencies a serious risk to citizens. However, people did not appreciate the idea.
